Journey to the Cure
"R. Craig Pitman Scholarship Fund"
The R. Craig Pitman Scholarship is being offered nationwide
to any high school senior or individual beginning their first year
of an undergraduate program. Eligible applicants are
individuals who have suffered the loss of a parent or guardian
to either breast cancer, or complication resulting from breast
cancer, or have a parent who has survived breast cancer.
Consideration will be given to those individuals with other close
family members who have been diagnosed with the disease or
have their own breast cancer diagnosis.
A one time $5,000 schloarship will be awarded in May 2012.
This scholarship has been created to honor Journey to the Cure’s Special Projects Ambassador who helped found the organization. Upon his passing in June of 2006, many people, whose lives he
touched, donated money to Journey to the Cure to be used to
honor his creative and giving spirit.
